As you must be aware, COVID cases are spiking all over the country, and our communities of Salisbury and Pittsfield are no exception, so we need to be extra vigilant in our efforts to stay safe and well. However, I feel it is absolutely vital that we continue to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in this time of need, remembering and giving witness to Our Lord’s victory over sin and death. This being said, we must continue to ensure that the appropriate health safety protocols that are in place, such as we have become accustomed to—the use of protective face masks worn properly, temperatures taken at the door, strict and constant social distancing, hand sanitization, health screening, and the limiting of attendance to make sure that social distance can be maintained at all times MUST BE FOLLOWED if you attend Liturgy. Our ushers will direct you to your allotted place and you need to stay there until communion. You should not come if you are not feeling well or may have been in situations of possible exposure. If we cannot follow these safety measures we will not be able to continue to hold services. So let us all, out of love for each other, do our parts in keeping each other well as we lift up our hearts, with one mind, to Christ our God.
